Controlling Your Diabetes at Work

Employee with DiabetesChances are, you know someone with diabetes, you have diabetes or you are at risk for diabetes. Diabetes affects nearly 30 million American adults and children. Another 86 million have prediabetes, which means they are at risk of developing the disease. There is no cure for diabetes, but you can manage it successfully - or prevent it altogether. If you already have diabetes, there are many resources to help you thrive at work and live a longer, healthier life.

Anticipation, anticipation. The day finally came for our first child to be born. Early on August 28, 1969, Brad came into our world. We didn’t know what to expect nor did we know that our world was about to be turned upside down. A few hours after the delivery, the doctor came into my room to talk to me. I can remember the words to this day; you have a child who has Down syndrome (mongoloid back then.)
